The Business Problem
- Nectr has some of the most innovative energy retail offerings in Australia and has a strategic focus on renewables and cleaner energy sources for their customers. They had a major upcoming marketing opportunity to showcase their brand (at the Sydney Royal Easter Show). They wanted to highlight their innovative new solar + battery offering to customers, in-person, via a marquee display centrepiece.
Our Solution
- Accurassi has developed a world-leading Solar Evaluation tool to digitally engage users with Solar products and offers. It reads a prospective customer’s energy bill (via a simple upload tool), then within seconds returns a high-quality image of their house with the correct amount of rendered panels on the roof. The panels are also in the correct places based on roof geometry or obstacles, whilst maximising for solar orientation.
- Our tool is fully customisable out-of-the-box, with a super simple drag and drop interface to customise the brand, colours, logos and terminology used.
- Working closely with Nectr, we build a bespoke instance of this software from scratch for in-person demonstrations within a 3-week timeframe. This, Nectr-specific instance, used a QR code placed on a large screen within the physical Nectr booth at the Easter show.
- Customers were able to walk up to the booth, scan the QR code, upload their own bills from their phones and then see the image of their house and solar panels on the large tablet screen in front of them. Click here to see the QR code in action
The Outcome
- Nectr was able to drive 100’s of high quality, new leads to their Solar sales teams within a couple of days and have now re-used the system at the Melbourne Home Show in August 2022.

Acacia Money
The Business Problem
- Acacia Money is an innovative new consumer platform that helps users take back control of their spending. It sheds new light on how users money is working for them (or not!) and shows their customers how sustainably that spend is being made. Acacia wanted a new killer feature to show their users that they really care about the planet and their finances.
Our Solution
- Accurassi’s Bill Extraction and Energy Switch software were perfect for Acacia Money’s needs. They were looking to deploy something super quickly, with amazing customer engagement within their app ecosystem. We immediately got to work onboarding the Acacia team with our easy to use API’s – bringing the total development time and speed to market down considerably.
The Outcome
- Acacia Money’s customers immediately engaged with the new feature, with most customers uploading their bills, highlighting a total savings opportunity of $250.

Clipsal Solar
The Business Problem
- Clipsal Solar is an innovative installer of residential solar panels and related systems, who were looking to supercharge their customer experience. They offer homeowners smart platforms to assess their homes performance, but needed new functionality.
Our Solution
- We deployed our Energy Comparison APIs within the Clipsal Pulse app to allow customers to quickly upload an energy bill and be presented with monetary savings for switching to a new retailer – based on their exact usage and profile
The Outcome
- Clipsal Solar reported a positive uplift in engagement metrics, as well as increasing customer stickiness for the 80%+ of customers who were presented with a positive savings figure
